I almost got victimised too by the same scam. Mine was a lady who goes by the name Wendy DeLuca. She used the same tricks, same plasma TV and she also provided me with an ID (probably fake) and the tracking number for the FedEx. I went as far as actually sending money via Western Union and if it weren’t for the diligence of Western Union, I would have paid them. Western Union warmed about the scam and refused to send the money. This woman claimed she was selling the TV cheap because she needed it to settle an issue which supposedly was because her brother was in Nigeria and needed the money to come back. When I told her my brother-in-law is a cop and that I am having her checked she stopped corresponding. Since then, everytime I see a plasma TV with a price too good to be true, I read through it and warn the readers.
REDACTED is up to his old tricks – exactly the same scam as before. Thanks to the blog host for posting this!

Guys-the scammer also goes under a Brenda Williams – posted many warnings on CL philly- I have written CL many times to post a warning specific to this scam, and they’ve done nothing- I’m going to write to thier legal counsel and threaten to sue them if they do nothing
ive dealt with these morons a few times i have found that sending a mailback to them indicating there ip adress and that they were being investigated.
what i forgot to tell them is that i sort of accidently embedded a virus into the e-mail oooopppps my bad

I hope that everyone here is smart enough to know that there is no way in hell you will ever find a legit plasma for $450… Please be aware before purchasing anything, I recommend doing stricktly local pickup since this is a Toronto site. If the TV is sitting somewhere at a fedex kinko in Maine (as a recent scammer used on me), you should post it on the Maine CL site…

Then I will send you the tracking number and a copy of the shipment label, you track it and when you have confirmed it, you will send part of the payment, $150. Nigeria’ – it sounds stupid but their trick is that they generate an Authentic Fed Ex Tracking Number based upon a flaw in the Fed Ex system that allows any web user with a FedEx account to generate a number and a tracking slip based upon simple transmission of package data showing a 146 lb package – THIS DOES NOT MEAN there is a package – they follow up with a bogus fed ex email – but claim you can’t track otherwise track the package due to security measures put in place because – get this – the TV was saved from a scammer – details here –

Since getting involved with this scam, my e mail has been saturated with scams ranging from an E bay scam, barnsley105 – claiming to have paid for a laptop, efforts to have me up date PayPal info, lottery winnings, other Nigerian scams, phising attempts on my non existent Wells Fargo bank account- I think this may part of a scam ring so be advised
